Two-factor authentication (2FA)

Add a second step at sign-in with an authenticator app.

A short screen-by-screen video for this guide is on the way.

On the Account page you can turn on two-factor authentication for an extra layer of security — strongly recommended since your account manages donations and connected financial tools.

  1. 1Account → Two-factor authentication → Enable two-factor.
  2. 2Scan the QR code with an authenticator app (Google Authenticator, Authy, 1Password), or enter the key manually.
  3. 3Enter the 6-digit code to confirm, then save your one-time backup codes somewhere safe.

After that, signing in asks for a code from your app in addition to your password. If you lose your device, use one of your backup codes (each works once). You can turn 2FA off anytime from the Account page with a current or backup code.

2FA also applies to the Fundrly Kiosk app: after your email and password, the app asks for the same authenticator code (a backup code works too) before it signs you in.
