Fundrly is completely free for nonprofits — no platform fee, no monthly cost, every feature included. That's possible because generous donors fund it, so nonprofits don't have to pay to raise.

The only cost is Stripe's standard processing fee, which goes to Stripe (not Fundrly) for moving the money — the same fee you'd pay anywhere you accept cards. Online gifts run at about 2.9% + 30¢; in-person gifts taken with Tap to Pay on iPhone run at Stripe's card-present rate plus Apple's per-tap fee (about 2.7% + 15¢).

You can ask donors to cover the Stripe processing fee so you keep 100% of every gift — when a donor covers it, we calculate the exact amount for how the gift is taken (online vs. in-person).
Because Fundrly takes no platform fee, nothing extra comes out of a gift on our side.

Getting Stripe's discounted nonprofit rate

Stripe offers registered 501(c)(3) nonprofits a discounted processing rate — about 2.2% + 30¢ instead of 2.9% + 30¢. It applies to your own Stripe account, so you request it directly from Stripe, and we help you do it. On your Billing page you'll find a step-by-step helper: it checks what you need (your EIN or IRS determination letter, and that more than 80% of your Stripe volume is tax-deductible donations), gives you a ready-to-send request with your details pre-filled, and links you straight to Stripe's nonprofit-pricing form.

Tip · The discount isn't retroactive and Stripe reviews requests about weekly (5–10 business days), so request it before a big campaign. Once you're approved, mark it done on the Billing page.

Tip · When a donor covers the fee, the gift's recorded amount is what they were actually charged — e.g. a $100 gift with the fee covered shows as the full ~$103 they paid, marked "covered fees," not $100. That real charged amount is what flows to your reports, receipts, and every integration (and to QuickBooks as gross income, with the Stripe fee booked as an expense so your net matches the payout).
