On your dashboard, the Returning donors card shows the percentage of donors who gave during the current period and had also given at least once before it started — a quick read on whether you're keeping donors, not just adding new ones.
The switcher
- Mo — this calendar month vs. anyone who gave before this month.
- Qtr — this quarter vs. anyone who gave before this quarter.
- Yr — this year vs. anyone who gave in a prior year.
The detail line shows the counts behind the percentage, e.g. "12 of 28 donors gave before this month."
Tip · A period shows "No data yet" until there's giving history before it to compare against — so a brand-new account sees "No data yet" for the year view until it has gifts from a prior year.
Tip · "This month," quarter, and year-to-date follow your account's reporting timezone (Settings → Account), so the month rolls over at midnight where you are — not at UTC. Rolling windows like "last 30 days" aren't affected.
